Andrea Tibbs-Fouts
Managing Director 

Vocal Instructor,  Musical Theater Instructor, Certified Kindermusik® Instructor 

Andrea received her B.A. from Chapman University where she received a vocal performance scholarship and also studied in the school of Film and Television.  She has been the Executive Director of the Yorba Linda Spotlight Youth Theater Company for the past four years, and has also been a Musical Theater Adjudicator for the Theater Arts Festivals at Fullerton College and Long Beach State.  She is happy to be at Encore Academy, where she teaches Kindermusik, Musical Theater, and is a private vocal instructor.

Lisa Allen

Piano Teacher, Vocal Instructor

Lisa Allen is an accomplished performer who has graced the stage in theatres all over Orange County as well as the Inland Empire. Her roles include "Belle" in Disney's Beauty and the Beast (Redlands Bowl), "Antonia" in Man of La Mancha (Redlands Civic Light Opera), "Elizabeth" in Sequins! The Show Choir Musical (The Grove Theatre), "Dorothy" in the Wizard of Oz (Biola University), "Star-to-be" in Annie (Biola University), "Zaneeta" in The Music Man (Biola University), as well as roles in Les Miserables and The Sound of Music.

As a singer, Lisa makes a conscious effort to constantly pursue excellence. Singing is her greatest gift, and she is grateful to have a career that she so thoroughly enjoys.  Lisa is a patient teacher - encouraging, and quick to recognize talent and potential. She is careful to take account of the student's age, personality, and work/school load when assigning tasks. She enjoys investing time in her student's lives to further their musical abilities.

     

Marla Gam-Hudson

Acting Instructor

Marla Gam-Hudson comes to Encore Academy with over 30 years of coaching and directing experience and almost 20 years of teaching in High School, College and University levels. Ms. Gam-Hudson brings a diverse background of having owned a scenic shop as the Producing Artistic Director for New Voices Playwright’s Theater for several years. In addition, Marla is also an adjudicator for the American College Theater Festival. She has been very busy directing at many local venues which she balances with being a consulting show director for the Disneyland Resorts and Universal Studios.  She holds a BA, MA and California Single Subject Credential in Theater.

     

Michelle Yang

Certified Kindermusik® Instructor, Piano Teacher

Michelle holds a B.A. in Music from UCLA and obtained her music teaching credential shortly after graduation.  She taught general music in elementary schools (preK-6th) until her first son was born in 2005.  Currently, she stays home to raise her family and teaches piano and Kindermusik part-time.

     

Christa Tumlinson

Penelope J. Atkinson

Acting Instructor 

Mrs. Penelope Atkinson is a British-born actor who came to the US in 1994. She has been acting since she was 8 years old and has experience in TV and film, as well as the stage. She has been teaching drama to children and has directed many children's production and is currently the Drama Director at her church. Mrs. Atkinson also runs Poppins Party and Drama Company. She has had acting leads in productions which include The Pirates of Penzance, Pgymalion, Dido and Aeneas, James & the Giant Peach, An American Clock, My Fair Lady, A Christmas Carol, MacBeth, and the last production, Wind in the Willows, which, coincidentally is also the first production in which she performed as a child! Penelope says she is thrilled to have been teaching acting and improvisation at Encore Academy since the Fall of 2006, when it first opened, and has since directed two play productions, and two summer camp sessions at Encore Academy. She is looking forward to co-directing the first full-scale production of Cinderella at Encore Academy slated for in Spring of 2008.

     

Mike Moreno

Improv Instructor, Acting Instructor 

Mike Allen Moreno is currently an Acting Major at Chapman University and will be receiving his BFA in Theatre in May of 2007. Mike has been acting in plays and television since 1998. He has appeared on Showtime and the Disney Channel. In addition to doing plays since 1998 for the schools and colleges he has attended, Mike has also performed at the Son of Semele Theater in Los Angeles and Shakespeare Orange County in Garden Grove. Stand -up comedy was Mike's first love and led him to study improv at the renowned Groundlings Improv Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Mike plans to bring what he has learned in his study of acting and improv to Encore Academy and help his students build a base set of skills for acting.

       

Amalia Cisneros

Piano Teacher 

Ms. Cisneros believes that studying piano should be a mix between education and enjoyment! Ms. Cisneros has been performing and studying piano for over 13 years.  In that time, her love for music grew and she began playing clarinet, flute, and percussion.  Currently, Amy is a Music student at California State University, Fullerton, where she is nearing completion of her degree in Piano Pedagogy.  Besides studying and performing piano, She has been teaching piano students at various studios for 5 years.  She is thrilled to be teaching at Encore where she can continue to instill the love music in children of all ages.

Julia Rozova-Mosqueda

Piano Teacher, Vocal Instructor

Ms. Rozova-Mosqueda is a native of Russia where she taught voice, Piano and English language for more than six years at the American School in Russia and most recently in Orange County.  She was musically educated in Saint Petersburg, Russia with majors in Piano and Vocal Music.  In addition to the equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Ms. Rozova-Mosqueda has earned a Masters' Degree in World Culture and Linguistics.  She is delighted to be teaching private piano and voice at Encore Academy.   

       

Brittany Deneau

Receptionist, Broadway Junior Instructor

The stage is Ms. Deneau’s home away from home!  She has over 13 years experience performing on stage in musicals all over Orange County.  Brittany has been seen in several  civic light opera, community theater, and college productions.  A few of her favorite past shows include, “Cabaret”,  “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”, “Hair”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “Cinderella”  and “The Nerd”.  Besides her experience on stage, Ms. Deneau also has over 10 years of vocal training under her belt.  She is excited to be instructing the littlest bunch of performers this quarter.  The Broadway Jr. class incorporates three aspects of theater she loves:  singing, acting, and dance!
