Kimberley Leseney

Kimberly Leseney has been teaching and directing the Drama Department at Brea Olinda High School for the past six years.   She graduated from California State University Fullerton with a degree in Theatre Arts and devoted her studies to directing and theatre education.  She then went on to get her Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Education from Concordia University.  While at Concordia, she completed her thesis project focusing on the benefits of being involved in a high school drama program.  In the summer of 2008 she was happy to join the Encore team as the summer camp Director, drama instructor, and production Director.  Miss Leseney strongly believes that all students can benefit from being involved in a drama program whether it be through improving their acting skills, learning to speak in front of an audience, conquering stage fright, working as a team, or improving their self-esteem.  She welcomes all students and always has a role for them to play.  Miss Leseney feels blessed to actually have a job that she enjoys.  Her favorite part of her job is seeing her students perform on stage in front of a live audience and the rush and happiness it brings them when the crowd gives them a loud roaring laugh or a round of applause.   She prides herself in giving every student the opportunity to gain the experience of performing on the stage in front of a live audience
